What actually fits inside a 29-inch moving bag
One bag holds over 23 gallons and supports 65 lb. It swallows a king comforter or twenty thick winter sweaters, but packing it full of hardcover books will exceed the weight limit long before the zipper closes.
How bulky bedding fills the space
We cut these totes to 29 x 14 x 13 inches, which gives you over 23 gallons of open volume. That is enough room for one thick king comforter, two standard sleeping pillows, and a set of sheets on top.
Folded bedding takes up space without adding severe weight. The 180 GSM coated PE fabric holds the bulk easily, and the zipper pulls shut across the top without strain when you press the air down.
Stacking folded winter clothes
Sweaters and jeans pack in two parallel rows along the bottom of the tote. You can lay down about twenty heavy knit sweaters, or ten pairs of denim jeans alongside fifteen everyday shirts, before reaching the top seam.
Clothes settle into the rectangular corners better than blankets do. Keep heavier garments flat on the bottom so the bag keeps its box shape when you lift it by the handles.
Why heavy books cause a problem
The bag carries up to 65 lb, and dense paper reaches that ceiling fast. Filling this entire 23-gallon space with hardcovers or textbooks puts the load well past the limit, making the tote impossible to carry safely.
Use the bag for light, high-volume items instead. If you must pack books, place a single layer along the base and fill the remaining space with pillows, hoodies, or soft linens.
Packing odd shapes and closet gear
Winter coats, boots, and loose sports gear fit together because the fabric walls flex around stiff edges. You can drop three full winter parkas inside along with two pairs of boots wrapped in towels.
Because the material is flexible, the bag adapts to hallway turns and car trunks better than rigid cardboard. Just make sure pointed metal corners are wrapped so they do not press hard against the seams.
